My favourite miniature figure painting books (cont.)

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

My other favourite book is the Foundry Miniatures Painting and Modelling Guide.

This is a hardback book, and the modelling pictures are simply fantastic. There’s a lot of good tips on painting, and some really useful descriptions of how to make best use of colour on your models. This is a book you will keep coming back to, even just to marvel at the creations inside.

My favourite miniature figure painting books

There are quite a lot of books on how to paint miniatures or lead figures. Quite a few deal with other genres such as modern warfare, but can have some useful tips in them.

How to paint citadel miniatures book cover

There are a couple of books that in my mind stand out from the “crowd”. I can highly recommend How to Paint Citadel Miniatures which although tailored to the citadel range of paints and painting system, really does explain in detail the techniques involved. It is very well illustrated, anyone coming away from this book should have gained some good insights into how to paint and upon seeing the artwork be highly motivated in producing their own wonderful creations.

My other favourite book coming next… Yep, only another one…
